Oregon’s Fourth Congressional District (Eugene and most of the coast) wasn’t on the national radar until its current occupant, Val Hoyle, ran headlong into a flurry of scandals (which we’ve assiduously covered here).

Monique DeSpain, Republican, is running to unseat Hoyle, and has made waves with her impressive background and attacks on Hoyle’s ethics. In this interview, Monique and I talk about the border, forest policy, and of course Hoyle’s tumultuous first year in Congress.
