Oregon keeps on digging that hole. I guess things aren't bad enough for the leftists/progressives/liberals/socialists/communist crowd.

Why any Republican would vote for this is beyond me. It goes to show how stupid Republicans are in this state. Let the Democrats own all the tax hikes and stop reaching across the aisle for nothing.

I would absolutely love it if the legislature could drag the head of ODOT before a committee and have them explain why Oregon roads cost 5 X per mile more to maintain than Colorado; of course Democrats

There DEI not merit based hires, boondoggle’s like the millions of dollars in failed projects like the LaPine 97 overpass!!!!!! Millions in failed projects and millions in failed programs! Privatize the state unmanaged roads system and deleteODOT!

Do you remember the good old days, when the legislature met only every other year?

50% less opportunity to find ways to burden our lives...

..and of course, Oregon voters--the same ones that voted for Measure 110, that decriminalized hard drugs--approved this.

Not a good track record, is it?

Voting in that "short session to fix technicalities" was a disaster (again). Libtard Oregonians love being lorded over and big government. They also love high taxes and zero ROI. At least they have their groomer clowns and pedos.

Thanks for the update Jeff! Nothing good is coming out of Salem for the State anymore. Writing this article while waiting at the DMV? Could be food for another article down the road.

The preschool tax makes it harder for progressives to pass another big across the board tax in the next two years. That’s why Kotek is opposed to it. SEIU and OEA want to increase taxes more broadly.

New taxes could push Portland from being the second most taxed city to being the number one most taxed city. That would result in more negative news for Portland. I think that is why Kotek wants the preschool tax removed.

Looks like New York City has temporarily displaced Portland but when all that is over they're still # 2; maybe

It also is the gateway tax to cause the "whales' to leave not just MultCo but Oregon and Queen Tina needs her sugar

Yep, it’s true! Everything the Democrats touch turns to shit. Maybe we should require all the state legislators to read the famous fable, the man who killed the goose that laid golden eggs.
