The Democrats are talking about giving amnesty to the 20 million illegal aliens who have already snuck across the border. So is the state claiming that these 20 million illegals, when registered, wouldn’t affect the vote? Of course they would. It’s not just Oregon, it’s the fact that all the swing states have thousands or even millions of illegals who will suddenly be able to vote, when amnesty is given to them. This is a major mistake, California gave amnesty to illegals and now it is a democratic party stronghold.

When dealing with the Communist State of Oregon always multiply by a factor of 10x and 100x is probably closer to the truth.

Supposedly Judicial Watch has already notified the state of Oregon of MAJOR problems in the number of "registered" voters in this hapless state of Oregon. In more than a few cases the number of registered voters exceeds the population of the electoral area involved. Judicial Watch boasts of clearing more than a few ineligible voters in more than a few states from outdated records of registered voters. I can only hope that the pressure they bring to bear will clean up the registered voter records in the hapless state of Oregon.

Unless Heracles shows up, it is up to us to somehow clean the "Augean stables" and it will take more than a single day.

It doesn’t seem silly to me. This audit is problematic to me as a voter. If Oregon’s secretary of State isn’t going to act on the findings, I guess the best answer I can come up with as a citizen is we better get out there and vote, and take four or five people with us to the mailbox. Since we have a representative government, I definitely want to know that my representatives were truly picked by the people.

My "silly" was simply to say it is silly to expect better under the current regime. I'm with you Sarah.

Outrageous, bordering on blatant incompetence and deceit

It sounds like the state paid $150,000 for an audit. And only 35 records were scrutinized for this particular issue.

Is that correct or am I misreading this?

When in trouble or in doubt, throw money at it. It always works in Oregon.

Wait isn’t proof of citizenship (or other legal residency) one of the important parts of the Real ID changeover? Wouldn’t cheating on that be a big no-no on the federal level?

Yes however Real ID isn’t a requirement to live or drive. It’s needed for flying, etc. Thus illegal aliens can live and drive and get money from the state, and vote, without Real ID. Now if they went to their real homes, then coming back would be an issue.
