The OR Secretary of State wants us to believe the former deputy director of the Democratic Party of Oregon can impartially oversee a major investigation into the Democratic Party of Oregon.
Shemia _knows_ we're dumb (as a state, that is). She knows that she's secure in her office, as we're pretty much a one-party state (OPS) now. Progressives aren't gonna vote her out, no matter what the Oregonian or Willamette Week say. She also knows that Ellen Rosenblum isn't going to take over the investigation. It would just be an exercise in futility, anyhow, as Ellen luxuriates as a beneficiary of the OPS as well.
I noted from the Oregonian article that Ellen herself had contributed $100K or thereabouts to the Democratic Party coffers. One might wonder how someone who has been a public employee since 1980 has the wherewithal to contribute that much to helping herself and her fe-buddies get elected. (Oops. That's right. She's married to Richard Meeker, former publisher of Willamette Week, which he founded (or maybe co-founded) right after they both got out of law school, if I remember correctly.)
And, who would Ellen turn the investigation over to? The Biden DOJ? Same party. Yeah, right.
Oregon politics useta be pretty clean. We've been sliding into the mire since Kitzhaber. Welcome to New Jersey.
