An employee of pro-110 advocacy group urged state employees to rush public resources to defend the measure during two advisory committee meetings this summer

Great post. The bigger story is the rampant use of cut-outs to do public business in nice, quiet ZOOM sessions (does anyone meet in public any more?), not to mention using nonprofits to move the money from pocket to pocket--with no oversight and no public knowledge. (The Portland Regional Arts Council was a perfect example--as a "contractor" nonprofit it could keep all of its decision-making, funding and evaluation top-secret. )
It’s literally their job to doggedly defend Measure 110. Oregon repealing M110 would be a huge blow to Drug Policy Alliance and allies. Unless and until those guys cut their losses and run from Oregon blaming 110’s failure on ineptitude of OR state govt, it’ll be a fight.
Funny thing is, Williams in a part of the meeting I didn't quote said that the anti-110 meeting at the Arlington Club featured "the top 1%" of Portland. They think M110 opponents are the rich ones.
Look what happens when the free money spigots are in danger of being turned off. 110 is nothing but a front to further the lawlessness and provide these “professionals” an income that doesn’t have to show effective results. It also continues the effort to eliminate the police and judicial system as we know it.
There is a better more effective way to handle this crisis. Measure 110 is not the answer.
Does anyone in the Government actually enforce the rules. I learned growing up not to get between the stock and the trough guess the same rules apply with "nonprofits" and public funds

Keep at 'em, Jeff.
Thanks, Richard!
Another important post. Geez, these people are dogged, even when most of us realize 110 was a gigantic mistake

all I can think of is that a very rich contingent of this country is trying to destroy it. if that is me being paranoid, I am.
Not paranoid James, you are walking with your eyes wide open. That has happened to many of us the past 4 years.

and we wonder why the powers that be accept tons of money from non-residents.
