to care about corruption in government, first you have to hear about it. I no longer subscribe to the Oregonian, but then their only efforts to sniff out corruption have come long after you already brought it up. thank you.

And here's another angle: The Oregonian had the story and in typical fashion dropped it. Just too busy, I suppose. Or they don't want to rock the guv's boat.

No surprises; it's the Oregon way of doing business: private, quiet, corrupt.

Commissioners don’t handle product? One Commissioner you reference, who remains on the Commission literally was doing his duty and helping a charity that received nothing despite it being allowed by law / policy. His actions prove he did nothing improper. He has no financial ties or involvement in business you reference in association to him or any of this. Not only did he do nothing wrong but has worked tirelessly to fix these issues.

It is important to call out bad behavior but realize you are lumping in at least 1 Commissioner that has done nothing wrong. Hopefully your story can remove those references since they paint an inaccurate picture of situation at least in his case. Thanks.

What did I write about Maletis that is inaccurate?

I call complete BS on your comment about Maletis. His family owns one of the largest alcohol distributors in the PacNW and his rich, powerful buddies that run the wine charity in question will not forget who worked on hooking them up with the hardest to find liquor. There is many ways you can have personal gain other than money. It would be interesting to know if Maletis hooked up some other powerful buddies (instead of the one in question) in previous years....Maletis has been an OLCC Commissioner for a long time. It seems that Maletis and Revoal are in the good graces of Kotek, otherwise they would be thrown to the wolves too.

He is in good graces with people because he did nothing wrong.

His charity request would solely benefit those in need not his buddies.

You have anything to report I suggest you do so. My guess is you already tried and there was nothing there. Some people are there to serve.

Good. The truth only helps people who have done nothing wrong.

Jeff, my question is how can Oregonians continue to ignore the corruption within our government regardless of what party you are affiliated with? Every Oregonian should ask themselves a simple question, would I allow this type of behavior in my business or family? Or better yet what would the consequences be if I was caught doing these things? I doubt you’d receive a glowing letter of recommendation from your boss and a new job shortly thereafter.

Please Oregon voters, vote with your conscience and your values. This organized corruption in our government has to stop.
