It would be capital if this pack of genius's would be liable for the damage they cause or at least get fired but they aren't even capable of learning some degree of caution. Imstead they're off to the Snake to "stabilze" energy by destroying the ability to actually generate it and save the salmon by killing them.
Everything about the Klamath water situation breaks my heart. I have family affected by every aspect. From farmers to fisheries biologists. I so much want this to work out in ANY way, for ANYONE. And throughout my lifetime it never, ever does. Klamath and Tulelake areas always end up with more fires and less water. No work doing the thousands of hours of backlogged forest maintenance during the off season; then watching "controlled" burns deliberately go out of control while workers leave them unattended and drive into town for lunch, so the state can bribe them with overtime when it goes out of control "because climate." Watching their crops and cattle die while water rights are diverted to projects like this that end up depleting what they're supposed to "protect."
My guess is that when this fails, Kotek, Newsom et al. will offer more marijuana-growing subsidies as an attempted distraction. Then the pot market prices can plummet even further, and more people can lose their shirts. "Pay no attention to the failure of our rivers, forests and farms," they seem to say, "have a joint instead." Drugged, duped, demolished and drained. That's what they do to us.
