I may have missed.it but not a ringing endorsement of the current US Attorney. Do wish Josh would run for a state position AG or better. Probably has better sense though. Again Louisiana politicians would give their left nut to be able to pull the crap out Dems have pulled.

Josh said he was one of two finalists for US Attorney job under Obama. Obama appointed Amanda Marshall, who subsequently resigned under allegations of having a romantic relationship with a subordinate and lying about it. She also agreed to a suspension of OSB license for 90 days. So, yeah, Josh would've been the better choice. He'd make a great AG, but doubt he could get through the Dem primary presently (he's a lifelong registered Dem).

Great interview, I like that you didn't interrupt Mr Marquis, and there weren't ads every 5 minutes.

Believing in the premise 'follow the money', I am wondering how if any republicans are on the receiving end of drug cash. Particularly the senators that caved on the walk-out denying quorum. I'll leave it there for now...

Thanks! As far as I know, no Republicans received La Mota money. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the more sophisticated cannabis folks have given some to Republicans at some point, though.

given my distrust of the USDOJ as an apolitical entity, I can only hope that they are not just putting on a dog and pony show for the masses. stranger things have happened.

Yeah, I hear you on USDOJ. For the most part, though, the U.S. Attorneys, one for each state, are seen as relatively straight-shooting prosecutors, while the DC outfit has shown itself to be quite political. We'll see. I think we have a better chance of getting a fair and thorough look at this thing from USDOJ than ORDOJ.

I googled the Oregon Attorney General. under "type" wikipedia listed the details of the office as "partisan". how silly of me to expect anything different.

There's a lot there with those politicians as well as failure to protect children from child predators and in our schools! We have reporting them the past 9 years, child trafficking!
