You almost get the feeling that laws really don’t matter in Oregon. Especially in regard to Democrats. I hope it doesn’t take a cataclysm like LA is experiencing to wake people up to how bad they are being screwed.

Once again, the political incest which infects this state shows its ugly face.

Of course they did. They scratch each other's backs. Disgusting.

when someone blatantly breaks the laws of the state, but the state says that is okay, what is the purpose of laws? I guess we need to revise our laws to include the phrase: 'if those in charge of enforcing the law say it is okay to ignore the law then it is okay to ignore the law, but just for those who have friends in charge of enforcing the law." might as well put it in writing and recognize the reality of our state government. WHY BOTHER!!!

Thanks Jeff. This shows the problem with one party rule.

Is there any branch of Oregon's government or elected officials that are not corrupt to the core? Asking for a friend; I already know the answer

There is not!

I am pretty sure that I’m not gonna be able to claim the days i sat on the bench as a Judge pro bono or any of the other volunteer work iI’ve done giving legal speeches and training . I won’t be getting credit for one dime of those volunteer activities towards my retirement, which after 40 years of service is considerably less than what Rosenblum, the former attorney general, gets.

Anyone interested in finding out what exactly former retired government employees, or elected officials make, like me, can go to the website which reports all such benefits and pay to anyone who looks it up.

Go to. “PERS” under “oregonlive” then enter the last and first name of the retiree.

Not (wanting to) dig into the statutes involved, I probably wouldn't comprehend them anyway, I was wondering what would qualify as pro bono.I guess you would be charged back for educating others on the ins and outs of the legal system. Must keep the circle closed and tight.

Change your party registration to "Democrat" and do whatever you please in this state.

Every Democrat for the last four years, "No one is above the law!"

The greed of public servants in this state is unbelievable. They'll steal anything not nailed down, help each other to do so, and then rule it legal on each other behalf. I keep wondering what it would take for more Oregonians to wake up to the rampant corruption in our state.

We need outfits like Oregon Roundup to have a bigger megaphone so more voters learn about this stuff. Working on that!

Thanks Jeff, for continuing to shed light on the Mono Party Swamp. Why doesn't this type of stuff bother the voters of Oregon? Comrades assemble!

It bothers some of them. Just gotta say it louder and more.

File a petition for writ of mandamus against the PERS administrator and move to declare the ORSC to have a conflict of interest?

Awarding Rosenblum 75% of salary instead of 65% of salary increases her pension checks by 15% not 10%.

I went to law school to avoid math, Richard.

Funny I have an accounting degree so don't blame me for my journalism! You were correct that the salary coverage percentage increased by 10% from 65% to 75%.

Either way the Oregon Supreme Court only rules to increase PERS benefits and to veto any attempted pension calculation reforms.
