My understanding is in some cases it's cheaper this cycle for presidential campaigns to carpet bomb nationally (incl Oregon) than to target swing states.

Yep. I don’t even know why we’ve been seeing Harris and Trump ads on tv. No matter how screwed up Oregon gets, it keeps reliably voting democratic.

Perhaps on the Republican side it's because the OGOP is dysfunctional.
