Yep, anyone can submit op-eds to any of the major newspapers in Oregon. The process by which they decide what to run is opaque, but one thing they often don't like doing is running pieces that have run somewhere else, including here. I used to try to get more op-eds run but lately have been preserving my "good" stuff (you should see the bad stuff) for the newsletter because I think you guys deserve it.
This whole soap opera is interesting, and shows the sad state of affairs our country (and state) is in. I read two more stories this morning on Bankman, Fried and their genius and bored son Sam. The author paints them as philanthropists, only wanting to do good for the masses by changing tax law and promoting those of like political mind. Interestingly, MTG PAC also contributed to Republicans. No names mentioned but I would guess they fall in the rino column.
I don't think Mind the Gap gave to GOPers. Bankman-Fried/FTX did, but using a different surrogate than Singh. Singh was the straw man for donations to Dems. As far as I know all the SBF/FTX related donations in Oregon races were to Dems.
With the exception of taking out Kitzhaber, after a tight election, of course, Rosenblum seems sublimely uncurious of multiple " situations"
Great reporting. Such a well reasoned argument exposing corrupt practices.
Thanks, Jack!
Jeff: I'd like to post this--with full credit to you--on PortlandDissent.
Post away, Richard. Thanks!
Jeff. Just curious if you are allowed to submit guest editorials to any of our “facts only” newspapers in the state?

Thank you for the clarification. Now to get to the bottom of cartel cash contributions...
