Fahey, Bynum and Rayfield have mandatory reporting requirements. Failure to report exposes them to prosecution under ORS 419B.010. It would likely be incumbent upon the local DA to prosecute. Thank goodness the justice system does not involve the partisan AG in the decision to file against them.

Under Oregon law local DAs CANNOT prosecute election law crimes, only the Attorney General.

Thank you for being diligent on this matter. That odor we smell emanating from Salem is rotten

This is exactly how Bynum behaves, arrogant, entitled, and unaccountable.

Any good campaign manager knows you don't put dirty business in writing. It looks like Carroll wanted to create an insurance policy, which now looks like it's being cashed out.

TBH, Oregon Dems operate by a different set of rules because no one typically reports on the bad stuff they put in writing. Note that this story got its start on Fox News, not Oregonian or WW.

Gee more corruption and sleaze from our top Dems. What a surprise. With Rayfield as AG this State will be wide open for any and all corruption by our ruling party with absolutely minimal restraint.

Two states are involved in this complaint if I read correctly, would this raise the bar to a federal investigation?

and I thought the federal bureaucracy was a swamp. Oregon makes them sound like comparative angels. I am aware of an entity called Judicial Watch which purports to take action against states breaking the law. do you know anything about them? and would it be worthwhile to inform Judicial Watch of Oregon's government mess?

JW is considering suing the state over the terrible voter rolls if they don't take action. They are aware of Oregon's reputation, unfortunately. Tom Fitton is a bull dog, much like the author of this Substack Jeff eager.

Sounds like the treatment my children and I received when we reported to Janelle and many politicians in Oregon!! They bury these reports and viciously attack and silence our child victims!

I am 83 and have voted every year. I always felt it was our last and later hope for individual power. I'm not a Lori Chavez-DeRemer fan, but I know what Bynum is all about, and that is a hard no. I have the same kind of choice with the presidential race... Let's hope our votes matter and are counted. Trump thinks the border is more of a problem than the economy/inflation. I think that may be true, but our vote is right up there too.
