Stay on it Mr. Eager. It has that certain whiff of, how shall I say it... incompetence with no accountability?

David Gulickson's avatar

“... incompetence with no accountability?”

My thoughts EXACTLY 🤯

Dave Mc Lean's avatar

That whiff you detect smells like Oregon Government.

And donde es Senor Maximo. In the wind with the majority of the 2.3 I'll wager but hell that's the Oregon way. Free money, no accountability, no results, and no penalties except to the tax payer's and those poor unfortunates that actually need care. Progressive my ass.

I bet the Big Gal got her 10%.

Jeff, you are a gem. Your investigative skills, coupled with your legal mind, always provides us with the meat seldom found elsewhere. One would think that the Federal DOJ would be taking a serious look at all the shenanigans Oregon is piling up. The corruption and incompetence is off the scale. If just 10% of the time these corruptocrats spent at stealing were instead spent on doing good for the State, what a difference that would make!

$2.3 MILLION in payments to an UNLICENSED care agency? Only in Oregon? (probably not, we are not the only state in the union run by GRIFTERS.) Something about the concept of FREE MONEY seems to bring out the worst in people. AND I want to know how come Señor Sanabria-Ojeda wasn't given sanctuary by our fearless LEADER. Wasn't the payoff sufficient?

Follow the money. Who got a kickback from the 2.4 mil? Payments to sketchy organizations always have a kickback involved.

Jeff Zekas's avatar

This whole situation is sickening. The corruption of the Democrat controlled agency is now on full display.

I'm willing to bet, Jeff Z, this is only one case that has bubbled to the surface because someone, Jeff Eager, has taken the time and has the wherewithal to research and report.

Audit by an outside agency. After-all, Charles, we have seen how thorough ODOT's internal audits have been.

Uplifting Journey LLC is such a Portland name for a state funded cartel murder house.

Kevin Starrett's avatar

Jeff once again proves the cartel media is dead. Replaced by honest and outstanding real journalism. Thanks Jeff.

Excellent reporting.

More evidence of spreading criminal corruption within Oregon government.

As the State (and Multnomah County and the City of Portland) continue to use "non-profits" that may in fact be nothing but a fiction to channel taxpayer dollars into their own pockets, there is less and less accountability.

Just try and getting the IRS 990 forms that - in theory - every non-profit has to file annually, Many of the groups that were drowned in post-George Floyd white guilt dollars existed only in the imagination of the people who cashed the checks!

Wait till someone figures out that Oregon government is 𝓮𝓯𝓯𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓿𝓮𝓵𝔂 if not 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓵𝔂 the equivalent of a “Venezuelan drug and human trafficking gang.”

I might exaggerate (slightly) but I do not kid.

S.P.H.'s avatar

And we are to trust this ruling class in Salem with billions more for ODOT? No way!

The city of Wilsonville is crowing recently about receiving a six million dollar grant from ODOT to complete a 930' walking trail (The Boons Ferry Messenger, Sept 25, above the fold).

I am tired of paying for the gross incompetence of Oregon government and it's priorities. I am tired of paying for the lefts' recreation. And I am especially tired of paying for endangerment and harm to our citizens and neighborhoods through schemes like 'Uplifting Journey', how many lives did this NGO ruin? How many pols enriched themselves at the taxpayer trough?

No more!!

RWH is a magnificent performer. But he is unanimously purported by those that avoid him to be a low life commie freak. I’ve heard it said that you’d be a fool to loan him your car if he had any money.

I live just blocks from Bonita Road. Nice to know.

James Lyon's avatar

you are not safe anywhere in this state.

Liberals, that money could have been spent on: the homeless, drug rehab, the kids, the elderly, those on Medicaid in Javadi's district, sex change operations, etc.

JR's avatar

Or.... law enforcement, roads, forest management, tax relief and everything else that money is siphoned away from.

pogi's avatar

I was trying to keep it in the realm of Medicaid but you are most definitely correct.

Oregon bureaucrats love chucking money out of the window, deflecting responsibility, and getting promotions for incompetence.

James Lyon's avatar

it is free money, who cares where it went?

pogi's avatar

LOL it is always free money to that crowd. They sure are liberal with their definitions, accounting, and the people's funds.
