Desperate Dems want to move tax vote date

Dems planned to repeal transportation tax so Oregonians couldn't vote on it, but that's unconstitutional. So, they want to move the date of the vote, disenfranchising Oregonians in the process

The Oregon legislative counsel’s office told Democrats yesterday they could not constitutionally repeal the tax now that it’s slated for a referendum vote.

This after the same attorney in that office told State Rep. Ed Diehl earlier this month Democrats could repeal the tax and have it removed from the ballot. I wrote about that and my analysis of the legal question, with which legislative counsel now largely agrees, here.
